Hi there!

I’m The Lazy Birdwatcher

Some people call me Traci, but Lazy Birdwatcher… or LB… works fine too. I’ve loved birds for as a long as I can remember. I find them fascinating little creatures. While I’ve loved birds for a very long time, I’m new to the actual hobby of “birdwatching”.

I’m trying to learn what each bird is, what types of birds are in my area of Missouri and to connect with other birdwatching enthusiasts and official “birders”. Thus the reason for this website. This site, along with my social media accounts, will allow me to connect with others and help me to learn, while I make new friends!

Why Indoor Birdwatcher?

My health is not good and getting outdoors is often a challenge, especially in the heat. I literally faint in the heat. So I watch nature from the inside looking out. My house backs to woods, and I live in a rural town, both ideal for lots of wildlife sightings.

I have birdfeeders in the yard, stuck on my windows with suction cups, and even one that’s an indoor wild bird feeder that partially comes into the house! (Very cool!)

I’m also looking at some more hi-tech birdwatching gear that will bring my indoor birdwatching to sci-fi level! 😛 Well, not quite, but pretty doggone spiffy, nonetheless.

So that’s my birdwatching adventures thus far. Keep an eye on the blog as I share more details on indoor birdwatching life.
